01 / THE CONNECTION

From your local port.
To the outside world.

One connector bridges the gap between your app and the services that need to reach it.

  1. 01

    Connect your app

    Sign in to your Hokio workspace and connect your device.

  2. 02

    Choose a local port

    Point the connector at the port your app listens on, such as 8000.

  3. 03

    Put your URL to work

    Add your permanent HTTPS address to a service that sends webhooks.

THE CONNECTION, VISUALIZED

Many ways in. One way home.

An AI callback travels through your Hokio URL to the app running on your machine.

BUILT TO STAY

New session.
Same address.

Restart your machine. Reconnect your app. Move between assigned tunnel servers. Your public webhook address stays the same.

my-agent.hooks.hokio.topPERMANENT

This URL stays the same while your endpoint remains assigned.

02 / YOUR STACK, YOUR WAY

Built with AI.
Connected with Hokio.

Your code editor, language, and framework are up to you. If your app accepts an HTTP request, it can receive a webhook.

01

Give your agent a callback

Bring external events into the AI tools you're developing locally.

02

Test the whole workflow

Receive repository events and automation triggers before you deploy.

03

Keep your feedback loop short

Edit, run, and inspect requests on the machine where you're building.

A tiny receiver. Your next integration.
import express from 'express';

const app = express();
app.use(express.json());

app.post('/api/webhook', (req, res) => {
  console.log(req.body);
  res.json({ received: true });
});

app.listen(8000);

03 / SET YOUR BOUNDARIES

Public endpoint.
You stay in control.

Open a door to your app, then decide what gets through. Your administrator configures access rules for each endpoint.

HTTPS at the edge

Public webhook endpoints use HTTPS. Your local app can keep listening on its own HTTP port.

Rules for each link

Allow trusted source IPs, select HTTP methods, and restrict accepted request paths.

Traffic within limits

Bound request rates, payload sizes, and concurrent requests for your endpoints.

Use your app to verify provider signatures, such as GitHub or payment webhooks.

04 / ON YOUR MACHINE

Download Hokio.

Choose your platform and install the Hokio connector.

LINUX

Hokio for Linux

Install Hokio using one secure command. The installer automatically detects the device architecture and Linux environment.

HOKIO + YOUR AI

Connect Hokio to AI

Securely connect Hokio with ChatGPT, Codex, Claude, and other MCP-compatible tools.

  • ChatGPT
  • Codex
  • Claude
MCP URL
https://mcp.hokio.top/mcp
  1. Copy the MCP link.
  2. Add it to your AI tool.
  3. Sign in to Hokio.
Setup Guide

Add the MCP URL as a remote MCP server in your AI tool, then complete the Hokio sign-in and authorization flow.

Remote MCP support and setup options depend on your tool and plan. Review the requested permissions before connecting. You can revoke access from Hokio’s connected apps settings.

Secure, read-only access. Your AI cannot change or delete your data.

A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS

Before you
connect.

Clear answers.
No infrastructure homework.

Does my webhook URL change?

No. Your public address remains assigned to your endpoint when the connector reconnects or moves between assigned tunnel servers.

Do I need to deploy my app?

No. Keep your app running locally and connect its listening port through the Hokio connector.

Can I control who calls my webhook?

Yes. Your workspace administrator can configure source IP rules, allowed HTTP methods, accepted paths, and traffic limits. Your application can also verify provider signatures.

What happens when my machine is offline?

Your URL stays assigned, but requests return an unavailable response while the connector is offline. Hokio does not queue those requests for later delivery; the sender needs to retry.

How do I get access?

Registration is closed while we prepare for launch. Register your interest with your name and email to hear when Hokio opens. This does not create an account or reserve a webhook URL.
